Midnight Bakers in Bluffton

I called to ask some questions about what bakery items this establishment offers and also to inquiry about placing an order for an event. I spoke to the owner on the phone and he was the most rude person I have ever spoken with. He told me that he could not answer any questions over the phone and that he only met with people in person to answer their questions. He was very rude and treated me completely unprofessional. I would NEVER consider this place given my treatment...

I cannot find the right words ....... Most genuine .... friendly chef ..... We tasted the most delicious samples and left with so many pastries ..... We drove all the way from McAllen Texas to meet the Chef and take pastries home

A must bakery to visit. The master chef baker is trained in France. His pastries are outstanding. Who needs Paris when you have the Midnight Baker in Bluffton. I can't wait to go back.

Great bakery! Robert is the best, French as they come! He has been a baker his whole life and it shows! Authentic European style bakery. Delicious treats that are just right. All natural and made from scratch. If you want a real croissant go there!

It's a small place but full of character, the owner has a very friendly personality and goes above and beyond for his customers that appreciate his fine authentic French bakery.

Well seasoned French pastry chef with a thick French accent serves up fresh goodies he baked whilst you slept the night before. He talks constantly, his version of soothing background music. Pain au Chocolates and Sticky buns are the best in the South. You'll buy more stuff than you intended, especially when he offers you a warm chocolate/walnut cookie.

As wonderful as the parties I had when I visited France. Absolutely delicious.

My Husband and I went in March and Mr.Robert was very friendly. He has great pastries and it was a great visit. We will be going back to visit Mr. Robert. 😀

Robert Plantadis was the rudest business owner I have ever met. He was so rude today on our visit today, that the Old Bluffton Village should shut his business down. I was looking forward to enjoying the small little town but after being berated verbally by this man he left such a distaste in our mouth for the cute little village we left. And just as a side note his baked goods didn't even look very good. I've read other reviews about this bakery and my own experience today confirms his nasty, rude demeanor.

Midnight Baker is a wonderful pastry shop run by a wonderful proper French baker, complete with charm and delicious, tasty pastry. A fresh pot coffee was put on for our group and we were treated with egg white muffins loaded with fresh fruit and chocloate filled croissants. Worth a ride!

Best French bakery! I do love it!

We saw this bakery and decided we would stop by. The food is absolutely delicious. We sat and talked to the owner for over an hour and a half. He was super helpful and friendly. This is a MUST DO if you're in the Bluffton area.

A truly authentic experience. Robierre combines soul with a rooted confidence that permeates throughout his building. This transfers into his baking. I recommend anything with cinnamon.

Wonderful experience. Amazing treats! The owner is a French pastry chef straight out of a Hollywood movie. I would far go out of my way to visit this place.

Totally enjoyable visit to the midnight baker. The food was absolutely awesome and the owner/ chef has a superb personality. Will definitely be coming back to this lil gem.

A visit to the bakery will definitely be remembered! After one trip to the Hilton Head area last year we made sure to go back and treat our granddaughters to pure French delight. A treat to all the senses! We'll come back whenever we're in the area.

The baker seemed nice enough but 5 minutes in, he got creepy. He was very overpriced and only accepts cash. I wouldn't go back.

The owner was super friendly and personable. His chocolate chunk cookies were amazing, and even though we only asked for one, he threw in an extra 3. His pineapple muffins were probably the best we've ever had too. Everything was very reasonably priced too.

Simply AMAZING!! Hands down the best, most original, unique and delicious bakery I've ever been to. Its not just a bakery, it's an experience.

Great pastry, coffee and conversation!

Not a "real" bakery. Not many choices, or savory items. We bought several items and they were obviously stale. Also no where close to park, be prepared to walk before you get there.
